Our friendly and dedicated team is committed to providing a high level of service at all times. We understand that you may feel a bit anxious about orthodontic treatment, but our staff will guide you gently through the process.

Our orthodontic nurses are all registered with the General Dental Council, and as well as running the surgery and assisting the orthodontist they will ensure that you are fully informed about caring for your teeth, gums and orthodontic appliances.

Rupinder Sidhu – Principal Orthodontist East SussexRupinder Sidhu

Rupinder Sidhu graduated from the Royal London Hospital Dental School, in 1998. Following Vocational Training in Kent, she undertook several posts to broaden her experience. These included an Associate General Dentist in London, Maxillofacial Surgery in Wales, Community, Paediatric and Restorative Dentistry posts in Birmingham. During this time, she obtained her Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in England.

In 2004 she undertook her Specialist training in Orthodontics at King’s College London. During her training she was awarded a Masters in Orthodontics with her thesis on “Frictional Characteristics of the Damon and Smartclip System”.

In 2008 she obtained her Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Rupinder, subsequently gained entry onto the General Dental Council’s Specialist list to hold the title of “Specialist Orthodontist”.

Rupinder has a keen interest in the field of Self- Ligating and Aesthetic Orthodontics.
She is currently involved in training orthodontic therapists at the University of UCLAN and providing Orthodontics in a multidisciplinary setting in Birmingham and has her own Specialist practice in Southampton.

Her personal interests include doing voluntary work for the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University and the Janki Foundation. She is a keen jogger and enjoyed completing the Flora London Marathon. She also enjoys scuba diving, 4WD through rough terrain and skiing.

Neil Aylesbury – Orthodontic Therapist East SussexNeil Aylesbury

Orthodontic Therapist/Practice Manager

Neil joined the Southampton Orthodontic Centre in February 2000.

He obtained his Dental Nurse qualification in 2002 and has continued to further his training by passing the Radiography Certificate in December 2003, the Oral Health Certificate in May 2007 and more recently the Orthodontic Nurse’s Certificate in December 2007.

Neil has recently qualified in December 2011 as an Orthodontic therapist at Bristol dental hospital.

Dental Nurse / Support Treatment Co-ordinator

Emma joined the practice in June 2014 and has been nursing since 2005. After taking 5 years out for raising a family, Emma is now ready to start a new challenge within orthodontics.
Emma is a bubbly friendly character with a high level of patient care and is always willing to go the extra mile to make patients feel at ease.

Emma hobbies include baking, shopping, socializing and spending quality time with her family.

Emma has also recently gained the certificate in impression taking.

Dental Nurse / Treatment Co-ordinator

Krystal joined the practice in June 2014. Having passed her diploma in June 2013 she is now a fully qualified and registered dental nurse with eight years experience within dentistry.
Krystal has excellent patient care skills and prides herself on her high levels of patient care.
Krystal’s hobbies include Baking, writing, composing music and performing on stage.

Krystal has recently gained the certificate in impression taking and radiography.

Trainee Orthodontic Therapist

Having previously worked in a care home, Ruby uses her experiences to provide a caring service to the patients. Ruby qualified as a Dental Nurse in July 2015. Ruby passed her impression taking course in July 2017 and will be proceeding onto her radiography course in the New Year.

Ruby is training alongside Kelsie to become an Orthodontic Therapist at Preston University from June 2018.

Dental Nurse/ Trainee Orthodontic Therapist

She uses her previous customer service skills to relate and provide care to the public in the practice. Kelsie completed her studies for the National Diploma in Dental Nursing in June 2015 and is now a qualified dental nurse. She has also completed her impression taking course in July 2016 and passed her radiography course in November 2017.

Kelsie is training alongside Ruby to become an Orthodontic Therapist at Preston University from June 2018.
