NHS Orthodontics:<\/h2>\n

NHS treatment is available at our Practice for children under 18 years and who meet the qualifying criteria. Orthodontic problems have to meet a level of severity for the NHS to be able to fund the treatment. For children being treated under the NHS there are no charges UNLESS a removable appliance is lost or damaged so badly that it cannot be repaired.<\/p>\n

NHS replacement fees<\/h2>\n

For children being treated under the NHS there are no charges UNLESS a removable appliance is lost or damaged so badly that it cannot be repaired. In these cases a charge is applicable \u2013 \u00a399.60 per replacement appliance.<\/p>\n

After you have been discharged then Private fees will apply for lost or broken retainers.<\/p>\n

NHS Charges from 2026-2027<\/h2>\n

You will pay one of the following charges below, unless exempt from NHS charges:<\/p>\n

Band 1 course of treatment \u2013 \u00a327.90<\/strong>
\nThis covers an examination, diagnosis (including x-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if clinically needed, and preventative care such as the application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant if appropriate.<\/p>\n

Band 2 course of treatment \u2013 \u00a376.60<\/strong>
\nThis covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or removal of teeth but not more complex items covered by Band 3.<\/p>\n

Band 3 course of treatment \u2013 \u00a3332.10<\/strong>
