Believe it or not, you may actually feel strange after your braces are removed. Your finished photo will show a gorgeous smile and the only adjustment you have here is to get ready for all the compliments.

What’s a Retainer?

You may need a retainer to make sure your teeth remember their new positions.
They can be clear plastic removable retainers:

or fixed permanent retainers (meaning you do not have to take them out and put them in)

You will need to wear your retainer to maintain your new smile. Your orthodontist will recommend this option if needed during your treatment.

Please note: you will still need to wear your vacuum formed retainers with the fixed retainer.
